Drink Me! Tea Room Opens in Tempe, AZ Bringing a Modern Twist to the Afternoon Tea Concept
ARIZONA, Aug. 6, 2020 /vWire/ — Alice in Wonderland fans and pastry lovers rejoice, the recently opened Drink Me! Tea Room in Tempe, Arizona is sure to delight your sweet tooth.
Melissa Harlan, Owner of Drink Me! Tea Room, got the idea for her concept restaurant during a trip to London with her family in 2019. The local tradition of afternoon tea was so delightful Harlan set out replicate it in her very own neighborhood back home. Her love for Lewis Carroll’s nonsensical poetry and strange characters served as inspiration for the name and decor of her new venture.

“I am both Vegan and Gluten-Free, I know how challenging it can be to find that combination when eating out. It was imperative for my business to be plant-based. I want to provide a traditional and decadent experience for those of us who choose a plant-based lifestyle. I also want to provide something that allows omnivores to discover how fun and delicious plant-based cuisine can be.” said Harlan.
“Afternoon tea is something everyone can enjoy together and at Drink Me! Tea room, no one has to feel like they won’t get the full experience due to their dietary choices,” she concluded.
Sweet delights include classic American scone and spiced fruit rock cake accompanied by lemon curd and coconut cream. The must-haves: key lime tart, vanilla shortbread, Earl grey macaron and the reinvented traditional savories like the cucumber and cashew cream crisp.
Drink Me! Tea Room also serves organic premium loose-leaf tea and brew every pot or cup specifically for each guest. The tea room is whimsical and welcoming. It’s the perfect spot for guests to take time out of their busy schedules and connect with their favorite people over a lovely pot of tea and treats. Guest are encouraged to make their afternoon tea reservations 48 hours in advance by visiting drinkmetearoom.com and can select from Wonderland Tea $49.50 or Petite Tea $17, Children’s Tea is also available for $20.
