Columbia, SC – April 12, 2024: Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary proudly invites the community to the third annual Columbia VegFest, to be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 12 PM to 4 PM. This year’s event has moved to a new venue, City Roots Farm, promising an even greater experience for all attendees.
Early bird tickets are available at a 50% discount until April 26 for just $5. After this date, tickets will be available for the standard price of $10. Additional ticket options include VIP, VIP PLUS, and a special VIP package for children.
This year’s VegFest will host a variety of vendors from local, regional, and national backgrounds, offering an array of delicious food, cruelty-free merchandise, and food trucks. Attendees can look forward to a range of activities suitable for all ages, including a family fun zone with free face painting for children, entertaining contests, and live music with our DJ and MC, MZ Jazzy.
In our commitment to sustainability, Vital Flow Water Co. returns as our alkaline water sponsor, offering $3 unlimited water refills to guests who bring their own bottles. Alternatively, a compostable cup can be used for $5.
Helene Greenberg, Executive Director of VegFest Expos, expressed excitement about the new location: “City Roots is a natural fit for our festival. Its ambiance aligns perfectly with the spirit of a vegan festival, and we are confident that it will be warmly received by the community.”
Joshua Carpenter Costner, Executive Director at Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary, added, “Columbia VegFest is a cornerstone event for promoting awareness about the welfare of farmed animals. It’s the perfect opportunity to engage with the community on these important issues.”
The festival will take place rain or shine. While the main event concludes at 4 PM, vendors have the option to remain open until 5 PM. The venue features both outdoor spaces and a covered area, with ample parking nearby.
