On Nov. 22, 2021 in PETALUMA, Calif., /PRNewswire/ — The Australian brand of cruelty-free, vegan, and natural products for skin, body, and hair, Sukin North America—a division of Trees For The Future, a philanthropic environmental organization—is partnering with Trees For The Future to help provide sustainable solutions to deforestation and climate change by working with thousands of farming families across nine countries in Africa to establish and maintain successful regenerative farms. Australian native ingredients including Kakadu Plum, Quandong, and Rosehip are used in Sukin products, which are inspired by the country’s timeless landscapes. The company also takes pleasure in its commitment to environmental stewardship. A total of 240,000 trees will be planted by Sukin and Plants For The Future over the next four years following an initial donation of 40,000 trees.
Future-proofing our planet with trees
Sukin will contribute a tree to Trees For The Future for every order placed on its American and Canadian websites, SukinNaturals.com and SukinNaturals.ca, starting on November 25th.
In keeping with Sukin’s core philosophy that nature provides us with all we need to sustain our bodies, this cooperation was created out of a desire to do everything we can to safeguard and preserve our natural resources. Trees For Our Future’s long-term, high-impact environmental solutions, like those implemented by Sukin, can have a significant impact on our population and the world.
Damage caused by deforestation must be countered immediately.
Human-caused climate change is being exacerbated by the widespread deforestation of the world’s forests. C02 is released into the atmosphere when trees are cut down or burned, and there are fewer trees to absorb it because of the loss of those trees. According to the Climate Institute, deforestation accounts for 25 percent of the world’s total greenhouse gas emissions.
Every minute, our earth loses the equivalent of 50 soccer fields of forest. In the developing tropics of Africa, Latin America, and South and Southeast Asia, millions of chronically malnourished, farm-dwelling households unintentionally use harmful and short-sighted agricultural practices. Even greater climate change may result from this as a result of the destruction of trees and other natural resources in their communities.
Tree For The Future has had a profound and lasting impact on the world.
Because of Trees For The Future’s continuous commitment to eradicating hunger, poverty, and the adverse effects of deforestation, Sukin partnered with them. By planting over 211 million trees in a variety of nations, Trees For The Future has helped to revitalize more than 30 thousand acres of soil and improve the lives of many underprivileged families.
Their Forest Garden Program provides farmers with the equipment, tree seedlings, and other biodegradable materials they need to get their farms up and running for a 4-year period. Farmers plant hundreds of trees that protect and replenish soil nutrients, allowing them to cultivate a wide range of fruits and vegetables. Regenerative farming practices can be developed through Trees For The Future’s mentorship of farmers in rural communities. Farmers’ families are able to make a living, while biodiversity in the soil and ecosystem is preserved for future generations thanks to this brief period of time.
Our continued cooperation with Trees For The Future provides Sukin with an incredible platform from which to have an impact on the world around us.
