BERKELEY, CA – September 1, 2021/vWire/ — Factory Farming Awareness Coalition (FFAC) is doing something that has never been done before: an educational comedy show that focuses exclusively on the impacts of industrialized animal agriculture. The YouTube series is called The Rotten Truth, and every Thursday at noon PT, FFAC will release a fresh, succinct, and wildly entertaining episode tackling one of the many ways Big Meat and Dairy affects our planet.
Nothing is amusing about factory farms. The disturbing, violent, and downright unsettling realities of Big Meat and Dairy are subjects most people avoid. The Rotten Truth infuses this often unpleasant and complicated topic with a dash of comedy to make it far more digestible. Every installment of The Rotten Truth is a well-balanced dose of hard-hitting evidence, comedic writing, and a call to action to help make a brighter future.
“If getting people to pay attention to one of the greatest single threats to the planet, animals, and ourselves takes dressing up in ridiculous costumes or making a fool out of myself for the world to see,” said producer and host Rowdy Keelor, “then that’s what we’re going to do.”
The Rotten Truth is meant to start and supplement conversations around our broken food system, and is a perfect resource for teachers seeking short, informative content. The Rotten Truth is meant to empower caring people everywhere by providing them with the information that they need in order to think critically about their food choices. Most importantly, The Rotten Truth shines a light on the realities that the meat and dairy corporations do not want us to know.
